These are 4 key moments in engaging your Patients and Promoting yourself as well as the App

1. When a recall appointment or reminder appointment email is sent to the patient. Advise them to download your new free App.

2. On arrival at the practice ask reception to ask if they have downloaded the app. If not, highlight your App details with traditional posters, and video on the reception screen and they will have the opportunity to download it again.

3. In surgery, mention your new free App to the patient at their visit, and give them a scorecard with their BPE, or BEWE and areas of concern for them to enter after the appointment or at reception if assistance is required.

4. Send a follow-up email with the BPE or BEWE scores using the email or similar in the resources section to personalise their App. The computerised records will record your periodontal advice for future reference.

Your BPE scoring will have to be modified slightly as on the App images. The App is to encourage the user to improve their oral health, and not to replace your university training.

Using business cards are quick, cheap, and easy to complete. There are some templates ideas in the resources section. They are the best marketing tool you can use as you are giving the patient their details on one side, on the other you can include soft promotions such as the "refer a friend" voucher details.
